Pharrell Williams is launching a new NFT platform called Gallery of Digital Assets or Goda.
GODA’s founding team includes contemporary artist Nina Chanel Abney, investor and entrepreneur Sean Neff, gallery owner Todd Kramer, art collector Izzy Otabor, investor Nick Adler, NFT collector and consultant J1mmy.Eth, among many others.
Goda says it aims to “give contemporary artists a curated platform to access the digital world”.
The platform says it will work with artists to leverage NFTs “in a way that feels organic and true to their creative voices”.
Goda claims to plan to “deliver the ultimate user experience by allowing access to the best drops from a curated collection of renowned figures from the traditional art world as well as up-and-coming artists”.
The first drop is scheduled for early this summer and will include what a media release says “should pass the Goda mint” guarantees access to future drops.
Nina Chanel Abni will be the first artist collection to drop soon thereafter.
Pharrell Williams is not the first superstar artist to become a founding member of his own NFT platform.
